Timber Edge Farm provides western riding lessons.
Kelly Nehring has been giving lessons for over 20 years and has over 30 years of experience. From trail riding, showing western, saddle seat, and Arab native costume, she is knowledgeable in many facets of the equine sport. She is active with her county 4-H program and previously had been a leader for 10+ years. She concentrated her efforts on helping youth develop a positive self-image by the rewarding relationship gained between horse and rider. Her passion is in horsemanship--to help the rider form a partnership with the horse and preserve the body, mind and spirit of the horse.
You will gain balance, rhythm, and self-confidence. You will learn about basic horse care, anatomy, grooming, proper tack, etiquette, and sportsmanship. You will continually work on developing a relationship with your horse and be able read him as well as he can read you, thus being able to work together to accomplish your goals.
